Its been a while since I updated my blog!

I havent done a huge amount of baking recently, but having since discovered the new cake decorating magazine my baking passion is starting to be resurrected!

I bought myself a new toy recently, a Kenwood Prospero kitchen mixer.

So far i have made:

Chocolate victoria sponge cake

White chocolate and walnut cookies

Triple chocolate cookies

Oatmeal and sultana cookies
A loaf of granary bread

I am always on the lookout for new recipes to try out so will keep you updated with new tasty finds!!

This is the cake that myself and my stepsister made for my mums 50th birthday!

Made some yummy dolly mixture cupcakes for my colleagues at work! They went down very well with a cup of tea at break time.

Sunday lunch

A few weeks ago I cooked Sunday dinner for my boyfriend and myself and decided to make a simple victoria sponge for dessert, I used homemade plum jam from my mum to sandwich it together. I did slightly burn the cake but I have dusted with icing sugar to hide it. The cake itself however was delicious!
